MoEngage

Add SMS gateway

Open your MoEngage dashboard and navigate to "Settings → Channel → SMS and Connector → SMS Connector Configuration → Custom Connectors → Create".

Sender Name

Select a descriptive name that represents the gateway, e.g. "seven".

API URL

Set the value of the field to "https://gateway.seven.io/api/sms".

Header

For authentication, you must add a pair with the key "X-Api key" and your YOUR_API_KEY as the value.

Body Type

Set the value of this field to "form".

Form fields

We need to add some form fields to make the messaging work. Add a pair with the key "text" and the message content as the value. Add a pair with the key "to" and the recipients, separated by commas, as the value. Optionally, you can add further form fields according to the API documentation.

Send Test SMS

Finally, we can test our setup by sending a test SMS. Click on "Send SMS for testing" and a new window will open. Enter the recipient's country code, e.g. "1" for the United States. Enter the recipient's phone number. Insert your desired message.
